Regal Beloit Corporation is a leading manufacturer of mechanical and electrical motion control and power generation products serving markets throughout the world. Almost every activity we encounter is affected by motion and the control of motion, making Regal Beloit products necessary and not optional.

Over the past ten years our sales increased at an annual growth rate of over 20%. In 2008, earnings per share were $3.87 as compared to the $3.49 reported for 2007. Consecutive quarterly dividends have been paid for the past 48 years; the dividend was raised 7% in July 2008 and July 2007.

Much of the Company's growth and success can be attributed to an effective acquisition program. In 2008, the Company announced the acquisition of Hwada Motors in Wuxi China and Dutchi Motors located in the Netherlands. Since its founding in 1955, Regal Beloit has completed over 30 acquisitions, including 7 in the past 24 months.

The Electrical segment sells its electric motors, generators and related products worldwide. Products are manufactured in North America, Mexico, Asia (China, India, Thailand) and Australia and range in size from 1/50 to 6500 horsepower in motors and from 3 to 4000 kilowatts in generators. Typical motor applications include residential and commercial HVAC, pumps, conveyors, compressors, machine tools, office equipment, air moving blowers, draft inducers and commercial refrigeration. Typical generator uses include prime and standby power and locomotive and heavy vehicle applications.

The Mechanical segment sells worldwide and produces a wide range of gearing and geardrives that control motion by transmitting power from a source, such as an electric motor, to an end use. A typical geardrive product is used in equipment for food processing, medical/health, material handling, flow control, and construction, among many other applications.
