OMNOVA's Performance Chemicals segment represented approximately 64% of the Company's total 2007 sales. The business unit produces highly engineered emulsion polymers and process chemicals that impart distinct performance characteristics -- such as strength, opacity, moisture resistance and printability -- to products in the paper, carpet, floor care, nonwovens, adhesives, tape, construction, oil/gas drilling and textile markets. Investments in product development facilities have resulted in a number of unique innovations, enabling OMNOVA to maintain a reputation for rapid response and value-added solutions. The segment is actively pursuing a global strategy to complement its strong North American market position.

OMNOVA's Decorative Products segment represented about 36% of total 2007 Company sales. This unit combines design with functional attributes -- such as scratch and stain-resistant coatings -- to provide customers with trend-setting, value-added products and services. In early 2008, OMNOVA acquired full ownership of its former Decorative Products joint ventures in China and Thailand. These operations, along with design and production facilities in North America and Europe, enable a variety of options in product look, performance and affordability.

The decorative product lines include contract interiors, which serves the commercial and residential upholstery markets and is a leading global supplier of commercial wallcoverings used in hotels, offices, health care facilities and retail outlets. The coated fabrics product line provides durable vinyl and urethane upholstery to the transportation and marine seating markets and vinyl films for various industrial applications such as pool liners and awnings. OMNOVA's laminates product line has the unique capability to provide woodgrains and complex patterns on vinyl and paper substrates to meet a number of interior lamination requirements.
