Kaman operates in two diverse businesses serving aerospace and industrial distribution. During 2008 Aerospace achieved strong sales growth both organically and through acquisition. Industrial Distribution achieved record sales of $777 million as a result of organic growth and the segment's first acquisitions since 2003. Strategically, each business moved forward in its markets, securing new business relationships with top-level customers. Financially the company received re-affirmation of its BBB-Stable investment grade rating from Standard & Poor's, and has good access to growth capital.
