Headquartered in Kennesaw, Georgia, CryoLife, an implantable biological medical device and cardiovascular tissue processing company, is dedicated to improving the health and quality of lives of patients undergoing reconstructive cardiac and vascular surgeries.

CryoLife's CryoValve® SG pulmonary human heart valve, processed using CryoLife's proprietary SynerGraft® Technology, is indicated for the replacement of diseased, damaged, malformed or malfunctioning native pulmonary valves in pediatric and adult patients. The valve can be used in conjunction with right ventricular outflow tract reconstruction procedures (RVOT), and for pulmonary valve replacement during the Ross Procedure.

CryoLife markets BioGlue®, an innovative biosurgical adhesive that is approved in the U.S. for use in adult patients as an adjunct to standard methods, such as sutures and staples, to help control bleeding in open surgical repair of large vessels. It is CE marked in the European Community, and approved in Canada and Australia for use in soft tissue repair. BioGlue is approved in over 50 countries.

CryoLife distributes HemoStaseÔ, a hemostatic agent, in much of the U.S. for use in cardiac and vascular surgery and in the European Community and Canada for cardiac, vascular and general surgery, subject to certain exclusions. HemoStase is developed using a Microporous Polysaccharide Hemospheres technology (MPH®), which yields a plant-based, flowable powder engineered to rapidly dehydrate blood, enhancing clotting on contact. When used as directed, this highly effective hemostatic agent facilitates the formation of a resilient, natural clot within just a few minutes.

The company's R&D efforts are focused on protein hydrogel technologies (BioFoam® for organ sealing and wound healing and BioDisc® for spinal repair), SynerGraft® antigen reduction technologies (cardiac, vascular and other soft tissues), including ProPatchÔ, Soft Tissue Repair Matrix for soft tissue repair, including hernia repair.
