We are committed to developing, manufacturing and marketing highly engineered advanced enabling materials to global customers spanning the continuum of technology-based markets including telecommunications and computer, magnetic and data storage, aerospace and defense, automotive electronics, industrial equipment, appliance and medical. Our service offering provides further competitive advantage and a value package that answers the needs of the customer.

Founded in 1931 in Cleveland, the Company today serves customers in more than 50 countries.

We differentiate ourselves in these markets with a base of strong and profitable manufacturing operations and service capabilities around the world, a broad range of high performance products and a customer-driven focus that is global in scope.

In late 2006, the Company changed its segment structure. The Company is now made up of four segments:

  • The Advanced Materials Technologies and Services segment consisting of Williams Advanced Materials Inc. This segment represents about 45% of the Company's revenues and manufactures precious, non-precious and specialty metal products.

  • The Specialty Engineered Alloys segment consisting of Alloy Products which includes Bulk and Strip Form Products and Hydroxide. This segment represents about 36% of the Company's total revenues and manufactures products comprised mostly of copper and beryllium based alloys.

  • The Beryllium and Beryllium Composites segment consisting of Beryllium Products including beryllia ceramic manufactured by Brush Ceramic Products. This segment represents about 8% of total sales.

  • The Engineered Materials Systems segment comprised of Technical Materials, Inc. Representing about 9% of total sales volume, this segment manufactures engineered materials systems, including clad inlay and overlay metals, precious and base metal electroplated systems, electron beam welded systems, contour profiled systems and solder-coated metal systems.

The Company has operating, service center and major office locations throughout North America, Europe and Asia, and employs 2,200 people worldwide.
