Vectren Energy Delivery -- The natural gas distribution business provides service to nearly one million customers in adjoining service territories in Indiana and west central Ohio. The electric transmission and distribution services provide electricity to more than 140,000 customers in southwestern Indiana.

Vectren's nonutility subsidiaries and affiliates offer energy-related products and services that closely align with the core utility operations to customers throughout the Midwest and Southeast.

Energy Marketing and Services -- ProLiance Energy is a natural gas marketer that provides storage & transportation optimization services as well as bundled gas procurement services, including base load, peaking sales, risk management, and other ancillary services. Vectren Source provides natural gas and other related products and services to residential and commercial customers in the Midwest and Northeast.

Coal Mining -- Vectren Fuels mines and sells coal to Vectren's utility operations and other 3^rd parties. Currently, Fuels has approximately 33 million tons of coal reserves being actively mined at Prosperity Mine. Mining of another 88 million tons of reserves at Oaktown 1 & 2 Mine will begin in mid-2009 and is expected to be fully operational by 2011 when total production by Fuels will be approximately 8 million tons annually.

Energy Infrastructure Services -- Energy Systems Group (ESG) provides energy-saving performance contracting by designing facility improvements that pay for themselves from energy savings and operational improvements. ESG also designs, constructs, manages and owns renewable energy projects. Miller Pipeline provides a comprehensive range of pipeline construction and rehabilitation services for gas, water and wastewater utilities.
