Global Payments is a leading electronic transaction payment processing and consumer money transfer company. We enable merchants, multinational corporations, financial institutions, consumers, government agencies and other profit and non-profit business enterprises to facilitate payments. Our capabilities are comprehensive and include, but are not limited to, credit and debit cards, stored value and gift cards, check-related services, and consumer to consumer money transfers primarily from the U.S. and Spain to Latin America. The company has nearly 40 years of payment processing experience and was spun- off from our former parent company on January 31, 2001.

Merchant Services Segment

We market our service offerings to merchants, independent sales organizations, or ISOs, and financial institutions through a variety of sales channels in the United States, Canada, Central and Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific. Revenue is generated priced as a percentage of transaction value, priced as an amount per transaction, and other processing fees unrelated to the number of transaction or its value.

Money Transfer Segment

This segment markets under our DolEx brand primarily to first and second generation Latin Americans living in the United States. We operate a branch-based model. Our business strategy is to competitively price our services, provide a timely and quality service, and increase our product offering to include other services such as stored value card and bill payment to offer to our existing customer base.

Growth Strategy

Global continues to successfully execute upon its strategy which is as follows: 1) Diversify into and grow our international market presence; 2) Expand existing channels; 3) Invest in technology and people; and 4) Maximize shareholder returns. We believe that the emerging international payments markets will drive our long-term future growth. Hence, our current acquisition and investment strategy is focused in these areas as we seek opportunities to complement our organic growth.
